home. The “Rincon de Olalla” is a typical labourer’s cottage of the
valley that has been restored respecting the original materials,
stone and wood, with which it was constructed.
SANTA OLALLA is a small village in Valdeolea, south-west
Cantabria (in the North of Spain), in the region of Campóo-Los-
Valles. At 1000 m. above sea level it is considered a high
mountain area.
It is surrounded by meadows and forests of oak, beech and holly.
Its’ varied wildlife benefits from the enormous natural resources of
the area and the sparse human population in the valley. The area
has a very rich cultural and historical heritage.
